This business builds advanced hardware systems for demanding customers and governments, and now needs a CTO to build its hardware.

What you'd actually do

You'd take the hardware into production with supply chain / manufacturing peers and get it built the same way every time. You'd also build the team that does it, working alongside a software engineering lead.

You won't be starting from a blank sheet. If you enjoy taking something that works and making it buildable at volume, this is for you.

• A former engineer with deep electrical experience, now leading
• You've taken hardware into production
• People have followed you from one company to another

This isn't a remote leadership role. Expect time on the floor and at suppliers, and 30-50% travel early on. If you'd rather lead from a laptop, it's not for you. If you want to be where the hardware is, it is.
