Program Buyer

Location: Franksville, Wisconsin (On-site) | Full-time

Industry: Power Electronics Manufacturing

Lead Responsibilities

• Own sourcing and purchasing for an assigned product line as the single point of accountability for its supply
• Source make-to-print PCBAs, custom electrical assemblies, and engineered components, the items that drive most of the product cost
• Identify, qualify, and develop suppliers, and establish new sources when the program needs them
• Lead cost reduction and negotiate pricing, terms, and supply agreements
• Partner with quality on supplier issues, corrective actions, and supplier performance
• Connect internal engineering with supplier engineering and manage print communicatio
• Carry engineering changes through the supply base without disrupting production
• Represent supply chain in program and customer meetings

Desired Skills and Experience

• 6+ years in purchasing or sourcing, including 3+ years as a program buyer dedicated to a specific program or product line
• Make-to-print sourcing experience and the ability to read and communicate prints
• Custom PCBA and electrical or electronic assembly sourcing strongly preferred
• Experience in an engineered-product environment working closely with engineering and new product development
• Working knowledge of the engineering change process and supplier quality management
• Background in a structured organization with the drive to operate in a fast-moving, growing company
• Follow-through: you finish what you start and keep pressing until the issue is resolved
• ERP experience and strong Excel skills

Beneficial, not required

• Industrial electrical, controls, drives, or power electronics manufacturing experience
• Make-to-print sourcing of complex engineered mechanical assemblies or systems
• Experience taking a product line from launch to mature, high-volume production
