Assistant Manager

Kamukura Surf + Dine is seeking a motivated and dependable Assistant Manager to join our management team. We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to providing excellent hospitality.

The Assistant Manager will support the restaurant with daily operations while working closely with both front-of-house and back-of-house team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth, efficient service
• Supervise, support, and motivate team members during shifts
• Provide excellent customer service and assist with resolving guest concerns
• Help train and develop new and existing employees
• Monitor employee performance, attendance, and adherence to company policies
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Ensure restaurant cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards are maintained
• Assist with employee scheduling and shift coverage
• Monitor inventory and communicate product or supply needs
• Assist with cash handling, POS procedures, and daily operational reports
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house employees
• Support management with promotions, special events, and day-to-day business needs
• Step in and assist employees on the floor as needed during busy periods
• Perform other management and operational duties as assigned
  

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Dependable, organized, and able to work well under pressure
• Strong customer-service skills and professional attitude
• Ability to lead by example and work as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
