OUR MISSION: To Innovate and Elevate the Spirit of Hospitality. Since 2011, Kapow has been part locals bar, part exceptional restaurant: modern Asian food with real edge, a serious beverage program, and a room where everybody belongs. When people ask about our demographic, we say “YES.” Boca Raton is where it all started, and it’s still the flagship. We’re looking for a General Manager to lead it into its next chapter.

WHAT YOU’LL MANAGE

This isn’t a small operation. You’ll run an elevated, high-volume restaurant in the heart of Mizner Park with multiple revenue streams:

• Full-service dining and a busy bar
• Weekend brunch
• Weekly programming that gives every night of the week its own reason to come in
• Private events and buyouts
• Community partnerships and special events

YOUR ROLE: FOUR CORE AREAS

Financial Leadership

• Own P&L performance for a high-volume operation
• Manage prime costs, labor and food cost to clear KPI standards
• Review the numbers daily and act on what they show
• Approve schedules, inventory and weekly purchasing
• Work with accounting on AP and AR

Operations

• Lead both front-of-house and back-of-house teams
• Make sure Kapow standards are executed on every shift
• Lead from the floor during peak service, not from the office
• Keep the restaurant inspection-ready: food safety, sanitation and operational audits
• Hold appearance, uniform, music, lighting and atmosphere to company standards

People Development

• Recruit, hire and retain people who live our values
• Lead onboarding and training, and keep it consistent
• Build a bench of leaders through coaching and mentorship
• Run performance reviews and give honest, ongoing feedback
• Protect an authentic, inclusive culture where everyone belongs

Brand Ambassador

• Represent Kapow in the Boca Raton community
• Build relationships with regulars and handle escalated guest situations personally
• Work with marketing to execute promotions and events
• Keep the room’s art-gallery energy and ambiance exactly where it should be

WHAT YOU’RE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

• Financial performance: sales, prime cost and labor against targets set with leadership
• Guest experience: online reviews, guest feedback and repeat business
• Your team: retention, training and a bench of leaders ready to grow
• Standards: clean inspections and consistent execution, every shift
• Programming: weekly programs and events run right, every time

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Non-negotiables:

• 5+ years of progressive restaurant management in a high-volume, full-service environment
• A proven track record of P&L management and hitting financial targets
• Experience leading teams of 50+
• Toast POS and reservation platform experience (SevenRooms a plus)
• Food Manager Certification
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Long periods of standing and walking. Lifting up to 50 lbs. A fast, hot, high-energy restaurant environment.
