A dynamic and growing law firm is seeking an Estate Planning Attorney to join its expanding trusts and estates practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about helping individuals and families protect their assets, plan for the future, and navigate complex estate and wealth transfer matters. The ideal candidate will enjoy direct client interaction, business development opportunities, and working within a collaborative, client-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
- Advise high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning strategies.
- Counsel clients regarding asset protection, wealth preservation, and succession planning.
- Assist with trust administration and probate matters.
- Analyze complex estate planning issues and develop tailored solutions based on client objectives.
- Meet directly with clients to gather information, present recommendations, and guide implementation of planning strategies.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to provide comprehensive client service.
- Participate in business development, networking, and community engagement activities to help grow the practice.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active license and good standing with the applicable state bar.
- 3+ years of estate planning experience, preferably within a law firm setting.
- Experience drafting sophisticated estate planning documents and advising clients on estate and tax planning matters.
- Knowledge of trust administration and probate processes.
- Strong analytical, organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters while maintaining exceptional client service.
