Beck Legal Advisors is hiring a Junior Associate Attorney for our Fort Lauderdale office.

Beck Legal Advisors works with clients in the areas of corporate and real estate law. For over 25 years, Beck's founder has represented businesses and individuals across many industries, including aviation, hospitality, construction, agriculture, and real estate acquisitions and dispositions. Beck serves as general counsel to many of our clients, advising on everything from corporate governance and contract negotiation to venture capital, M&A, and private equity transactions, alongside a full residential and commercial real estate practice.

This role is for an attorney with approximately 1 to 3 years of experience who wants to build real transactional skill quickly. From day one, you will work directly with Beck's founder and with clients, and you will see matters from start to finish rather than working one segment of a transaction.

Your typical day may include: (1) drafting and revising a real estate contract; (2) organizing and reviewing an M&A diligence data room; (3) researching an issue on a joint venture structure and preparing a written analysis; (4) forming a business entity and preparing an operating agreement; and (5) preparing a closing checklist and coordinating deliverables on a commercial transaction.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Admission to the Florida Bar and in good standing
• Approximately 1 to 3 years of legal experience
• Excellent legal research, drafting, and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and client communication skills
• Professional, dependable, and comfortable taking responsibility for matters
• Close attention to detail and strong organizational habits

Preferred Qualifications

• Corporate, real estate, or transactional experience is helpful but not required
• Spanish proficiency, given our diverse and international client base
• Prior experience at a regional or national firm
• Interest in developing a broad transactional practice

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $85,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience
