Financial Services Litigation Attorney

Matasar Jacobs LLC is BigLaw spinoff litigation boutique focused on representing securities broker/dealer firms, Registered Investment Advisers, and other actors in the retail financial services industry in litigation, enforcement defense, and regulatory counseling matters. Based in Cleveland, Ohio our practice is national in scope, and due to the nature of our practice, we regularly litigate against AmLaw 200 firms. Thanks to continued demand for the firm's services, we have opened a search for another associate to join our team.

Ideally, we are looking for a 4^th to 7^th year associate, We are most interested in candidates that have some mix of the following traits and experience, the more the better:

• Stable work history with several years at their current firm
• Experience working at mid-sized to larger firms
• Practice focus on complex commercial litigation or employment litigation
• If you're in employment litigation, your experience will have focused on non-solicit/non-compete matters, trade secret claims and the like (not protected class or hostile work environment matters)
• Comfortable with and adept at direct client interaction
• Experience with day-to-day management of assigned matters and driving litigation strategy on your cases
• Skilled at designing and implementing e-discovery protocols; experience with conducting reviews on Relativity and related platforms
• Experience with trial preparation and a strong desire to gain real trial advocacy experience as second chair in both courtrooms and arbitrations
• Sufficient flexibility to travel as needed for matters
• Experience dealing with TRO and injunctive relief proceedings a substantial plus
• Experience with white collar criminal matters not necessary but a substantial plus
• Background in finance or accounting also not necessary but a substantial plus

Some of the other specifics about the job and the firm:

• 1650 annual billable hour expectation
• Pay Range: $140,000 to $190,000 DOE, plus annual bonus
• Health insurance

• In-office most days, especially for your first six months of employment, but WFH flexibility is available
