About the Role

Emulatics is looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented 3D Printing Technician Intern to join our team on-site. If you are passionate about additive manufacturing or rapid prototyping this is your chance to gain practical industry experience.

You’ll be directly managing machines, handling physical parts, and processing client orders starting your very first week. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, you’ll master the ins and outs of a high-throughput additive manufacturing facility in no time.

Working side-by-side with our engineering team, you will help maintain, operate, and optimize our 3D printing setup while turning physical concepts into finished products for real clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and monitor 3D print jobs across on-site machine fleets.
  • Perform post-processing duties including support removal, sanding, curing, and surface finishing.
  • Pack and ship finished parts safely for client delivery.
  • Assist with some machine maintenance: clogs, nozzle changes, bed cleaning
  • Shadow experienced technicians to diagnose and troubleshoot printing equipment.
  • Inspect finished parts for quality, dimensional accuracy, structural integrity, and failures.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience operating FDM or SLA 3D printers (personal, academic, or lab setup).
  • Familiarity with slicing software is a plus.
  • An interest in content creation or social media is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Gain

  • Direct, practical experience in additive manufacturing and hardware prototyping.
  • Mentorship from experienced engineers in an active, hands-on environment.
  • Flexible hours designed to accommodate course schedules.
  • Potential for conversion into a paid part-time position based on performance.
