Laboratory Technician

THE ROLE

Renegade Brands USA, Inc. develops high-performance, sustainable laundry detergents for the sports and commercial laundry markets. We are looking for a seasoned Laboratory Technician to anchor our bench operations. You will work at the bench alongside the Head of Technology and Chemist, driving day-to-day formulation and testing work, and troubleshooting issues on the fly. The role is broad: from the first idea to launch, and you are trusted to run large parts of it independently.

RESPONSIBILITIES

► Independently develop and refine laundry detergent formulations at the bench, escalating only the

toughest calls

► Design and run performance and stability trials, adapting standard protocols where needed, and record

results with precision

► Write outcome reports and present findings and recommendations to the technical team

► Take ownership of the laboratory — equipment upkeep and calibration, chemical stock, and

documentation systems

► Prepare and review Safety Data Sheets, and lead product labeling and certification paperwork

► Serve as the technical point of contact with suppliers and toll blenders on materials, samples and

production batches

► Support our sales team with technical answers and in-depth competitor benchmarking

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree or technical certification in Chemistry or a related science preferred; equivalent hands-on experience considered

EXPERIENCE

5 - 10 years in a laboratory setting. Detergent or consumer-products experience strongly preferred.

HANDS-ON AND RIGOROUS

You spend most of your time at the bench, mastering SOP and Best Practices, and refining them where your experience says they can be improved.

SEASONED AND DEPENDABLE

You have seen it before, you troubleshoot without hand-holding, and junior staff look to you for answers.
