Public Accounting Manager ($120,000 to $175,000+)

O’Neill & Gaspardo, LLC, a full-service public accounting & consulting firm with locations in Mokena, IL and Crown Point, IN, is seeking a Public Accounting Manager to join our team on a full-time in office basis. Responsibilities

• Provide services to corporations, partnerships, and individuals ranging from small to middle market companies.

• Manage comprehensive client communications and staffing across full service public accounting relationships.

• Review and ensure top quality work products across full spectrum of client service projects and relationships.

• Communicate directly with existing clients, colleagues, management and IRS representatives regarding various accounting, audit or tax matters.

• Anticipate and address client concerns and propose solutions as matters arise.

• Ability to work a seasonal busy season workload, which require 50-55 hours per week, including Saturdays, during the 1/15 to 4/15 annual busy season.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years relevant public accounting experience (audit and/or tax). Private company experience also valued and relevant.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.

• CPA a plus.

• Strong analytical and time management skills as well as ability to research and determine appropriate technical or regulatory matter resolution.

• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

• Ability to work additional hours during busy season as needed.
