Chief Financial Officer
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including bookkeeping, cash management, financial planning, risk management, and compliance.
The CFO will also manage human resources functions related to employee paperwork and benefits, work closely with the Finance Committee, and provide financial oversight and management of leases, as well as sale and purchase transactions of commercial and industrial real estate properties.
The CFO will also manage grants tied to restricted funding and special projects and supervise a remote contract employee who provides organizational support for accounting.
Financial Management & Reporting:
Develop and oversee financial policies, procedures, and systems.
Manage the organization’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and audits.
Supervise cash management processes, including managing cash flow and investments.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial laws and regulations.
Manage external accounting and bank relationships.
Work with the Investor Relations department to reconcile investments and generate reports.
Manage the distribution, receivables, and reporting for the micro loan program.
Work closely with the Board Treasurer preparing reports and providing insights for financial decision-making.
Bookkeeping:
Oversee all bookkeeping activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
Maintain general ledger, reconcile accounts, and prepare financial statements.
Human Resources:
Manage the processing of employee paperwork, including new hires, terminations, and payroll.
Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
Real Estate Financial Oversight:
Provide financial oversight and management of leases, as well as sale and purchase transactions of commercial and industrial real estate properties.
Ensure accurate accounting and reporting related to real estate transactions.
Grant Oversight:
Oversee grants tied to restricted funding, ensuring fiduciary compliance with grant requirements.
Monitor special projects and ensure proper allocation and utilization of funds.
Employee Management:
Supervise a remote contract employee who provides organizational support for accounting.
Assist with the supervision of the Executive Assistant who provides Administrative and Human Resources support for the role.
