Sr. Financial Analyst, IT Finance at Home Depot - St Thomas,

The Sr. Financial Analyst, IT Finance, is a key team member responsible for integral steps in the management of financial costs, monthly and weekly reporting, and ad hoc analysis for the Infrastructure technology team. This position directly supports the purchasing process for large capital and expense purchases, and will prepare economic analysis and review financial forecasts for use in the development of financial decisions. The ideal candidate is highly organized with great attention to detail, and is skilled at driving collaboration and coordination between cross-functional teams.


In this position, the Sr. Financial Analyst will work directly with the Technology team to drive financial planning, forecasting and reporting processes, and provide decision support analysis to accurately value and articulate the financial impact of key strategic investment decisions.

Duties include:

  • Controllership – planning, forecasting, reporting, and conducting analysis on capital expenditures and P&L expenses
  • Financial management – driving functional metrics and working closely with finance and technology leadership in order to deliver infrastructure productivity and innovation
  • Decision support analysis- analyzing and modeling the financial impact of technology investment decisions
  • Special projects- analyzing existing internal financial processes and leading process improvement projects to drive efficiencies


  • Typically reports to a Manager or Sr. Manager level
  • This position has no direct reports.

Typically requires overnight travel MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Economics or equivalent.
  • Aptitude and inclination to partner with business units across the organization and manage multiple projects/priorities.

  • Experience interacting with senior management; superior presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking ability.


  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, analysis and reporting of financial data.
